I've had the opportunity to work with Nyla in a variety of roles throughout our time at Grubhub, and I can confidently say she is one of the most talented and dedicated individuals I've ever met.

Nyla was one of the founding members of our Women’s ERG at Grubhub and served as its Lead for two years. In that time, she not only created a safe and welcoming space for woman-identifying members of the company, but an inclusive space for all.

Her passion and advocacy for inclusion and equity for BIPOC representation was also a huge contributor to the group’s success.

Nyla was always able to see the big picture and develop strategies that would help the team achieve its goals. Without Nyla, the Women of Grubhub Employee Resource Group simply would not exist. She was part of the founding leadership team, and then served as Group Lead for over two years, working tirelessly, and with unfailing optimism, dedication, and good humor – in unprecedentedly trying circumstances! – to build a community of women and allies from the ground up that was inclusive, supportive, and empowering.

Those tenets – inclusion, support, and empowerment – became the backbone of our group mission statement – and they are tenets that Nyla embodied every day.

Since beginning my career alongside Nyla in the same training group for GrubHub, she immediately stood out as a hard-working individual who set her goals high while always wearing a smile and being the most positive individual in the room. Since leaving GrubHub, I've watched Nyla use these talents and work ethic to climb the ranks of the organization, cementing herself as a massive contributor to the growth and scale of GrubHub's customer and account facing departments. Nyla is a joy to work with, and any team is lucky to have her!

Working with Nyla was always an extraordinary experience because she was able to identify the root problem in operations and always came prepared with several solutions. It was refreshing to manage an individual that balances work place cultural with a strong work ethic equally. I considered Nyla a top performer on my team and definitely would hire again!

Nyla continues to lead our team to success, even though we are currently down two people. She fills the gaps while managing her own duties. Nyla does not accept mediocrity and pushes our team to bring fresh ideas and collaborate every day!

Our business development team is leading the way in how the company uses HubSpot, so everyone has access to important communications, keeping sales moving forward and everyone informed. Nyla works tirelessly to put the right processes in place, with the right tools and people, to achieve our goals.

It’s no surprise that our team mascot is Chuck Norris: “There is no finish line. When you reach one goal, find a new one!” and “Success is the result of preparation, hard work, and learning from failure.”

Amid all this, she truly cares about her team and, honestly, everyone as a human being. Her door is always open to listen. We are a new department and a new team undergoing a lot of change, and we are making magic happen because our leader is invested and truly cares!
